Reality

So this is it...the plan that began almost one year ago is actually going to become a reality in one little month. I am quitting my job on Friday...still unsure as to how I'm going to begin that conversation but those words will come to me in the moment. I mean it's not like I'm moving to another mutual fund company (...) or that I'm just so over my job that I can barely stand another 8 hours of it (hmmmm)...I'm just moving across the world for a minute or two with my cutiepatootie Bri:

PS I blame my parents for this...for this large travel bug that has been attached to me for years. Coming from a family of four athletically involved children that's all I did...run around the beautiful midwest. I was traveling twice a week and every weekend...following my brothers and sister in their high school careers. Just throw that Dodger apparel on my back and load me into the van...gtg (good to go). And then when I was old enough to tie my shoes I found myself on the court and in the field. So family of mine...I love you and miss you always...but this is your fault :)

In case you're wondering (which you probably were not), I'm counting on this to be my last hurrah (yes I totally looked up that spelling). As much as I have traveled and enjoyed myself, and met amazing people, and seen tremendous sights, and gotten out of my comfort zone in plenty of situations, and laughed way too much at myself...I do miss those smiling faces above (especially now that my brothers both have babies!!!!) and I don't like being so far away from them. Disclaimer: this doesn't mean I'm moving back to IA upon return...it just means I won't be calling you with a plan like this again...most likely anyway. And no I'm not forgetting about you Mother Dearest, Dad and Deb.Yes my parentals are divorced...it is 2011 people! (ok not funny). So rest at ease people...I will be right back. Oh and here are the babes...

So that is where I'm at for now...one month left in my honey of a city (Denver) and plenty of thoughts running through this old mind of mine...all the while, drinking a glass of pinot noir at 9:57 on a Wednesday. I should probably get to bed. It is my breakfast day at work tomorrow...which means I have to find 10 piping hot burritos in the AM. Wish me luck!
